Less extreme than paralysis but often still requires the use of disability aids, such as canes. Mobility impairment is a broad term to refer to disabilities that affect movement without completely compromising it. This can include conditions where one leg is shorter or weaker than the other, where joint pain makes movement difficult, or where balance is compromised. There is still some overlap with wheelchair users, as some disabled people may use wheelchairs while still being capable of walking short distances.
