But I’m a Cheerleader was a revolutionary tale for its time, and it’d be so great to bring that back.
The story stars a young, pretty, popular, Christian girl named Megan, whose family, friends, and boyfriend begin to suspect that she is a lesbian. They react to this by making the decision to send her to conversion camp, despite Megan’s own protests. This film follows her and some new friends on their journey through a satirized version of conversion camp.
