On June 10, 1977, James Earl Ray, the assassin of Martin Luther King Jr, and six other convicts escaped from Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary in Petros, Tennessee. They were recaptured on June 13. The film tells the story of Ray's escape and his recapturing by the officers and guards of the Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary and Tennessee State Patrol. read more
