In this alternate version of Brother Bear 2, instead of Patrick Dempsey, Joaquin Phoenix reprises his role as Kenai, that way he’ll keep his bear form style from the first movie in the second one, although he’ll still put on some weight. Some of Kenai’s scenes from the original version are the same, except his childhood flashback is a bit longer and we see a brief appearance of young Atka as well. Another scene that is different is Kenai having a nightmare of his Brother Sitka who died at the same place of the first film, and this time Kenai defeats Atka and doesn’t hold back in the fight. Kenai also sees the spirit water from the first film and sees his human self from his reflection.
