Synopsis

Escape is only the beginning of her problems. Esmira is immersed in scandal--an illicit affair that produces a bastard into Muslim society. Luckily the child’s grandmother is there to raise her granddaughter, Silvana, and mold her into a fine, young Azerbaijani woman. The beautiful Silvana, shunned by society through no fault of her own,leaves her home. She migrates to Kenya, where she falls in love with a man she sees as the answer to her prayers. But her new husband, Mark, isn't the man she thought she was marrying. In almost no time, he chips away at her soul and body, leaving her battered and more alone than ever. In her desperation to get away, she begins to believe that a well-plunged knife may spell the difference between freedom and a lifetime of more abuse - or worse. She must make a decision which will change her life forever. Will she use it to stop the actions of a monster, or choose another path?
