In an alternate 1997, teenage girl named Michelle travels west across a broken America. Her only companion is Skip, a small yellow robot. They traverse eerie landscapes filled with remnants of a forgotten society. Gigantic battle drones, once symbols of power, now lay in waste. The backroads reveal a haunting vision of a futuristic past, blended with nostalgia. As they drive, the landscape outside is grim and desolate. Alyson’s car approaches the coast, symbolizing her journey towards an uncertain future. The void left behind by a high-tech consumerist society fills the air with melancholy. Society has crumbled as people succumb to addiction, trapped in virtual realities. Neuroscientific headsets, called neurocasters, consume individuals, blurring the lines between existence and oblivion.
