Synopsis

When a British Harrier jet crashes in mainland China only days before the Hong Kong handover talks, 007 is deployed to the Far East to investigate wealthy entrepreneur Sir Henry Lee Ching. In this thrilling adventure spanning the Pacific Rim, James Bond teams up with cat burglar Connie Webb, crosses paths with the Chinese 'Red Army' and takes on a powerful villain with enough advanced technology to manipulate World War III. Based on an original script by Michael G. Wilson and Alfonse Ruggiero in July 1990, this story is a first look at what could have been Timothy Dalton's third James Bond adventure. Bond's contact in Hong Kong. Denholm Crisp is a veteran in the Service and is delighted to be working with 007. Bond sees a lot of himself in Crisp, a bored and overworked agent who has resigned from field work and is awaiting his retirement.
