Synopsis

When an evil mastermind attempts to gain control of an extraterrestrial entity, businessman Ted Kord must suit up as the Blue Beetle to try and stop him. Along the way he teams up with a time-travelling superhero from the future, the fortune-chasing showman Booster Gold.

Booster Gold's popularity has lead to a series of movie deals. He and his agent are touring one of the sets, when suddenly someone comes up to him and introduces himself as his stunt double, Buddy Baker.
