Gebel, the original host of the magi-crystal curse summoning demons to Earth, was the only survivor of its high-level effects. After destroying the guild that created him, he realized he no longer belonged among humans and summoned the demon castle from hell. Initially intending to provide Miriam her own place, Gebel's Magi-crystal disease caused him to forget his purpose. As the crystals consumed him, he plots humanity's downfall and manipulates Miriam to achieve his dark ambitions.
