Carol Ferris is the romantic interest of Hal Jordan. Businesswoman and pilot, she is the owner of Ferris Aircraft, taking after her father Carl Ferris. She has also taken the identity of Star Sapphire, a powerful ally and antagonist to his alter ego Green Lantern. Chosen by the alien Zamarons to be their queen, she was possessed by a star sapphire that made her develop an evil secondary persona. Eventually, she would gain more control and fight for the power of love as a member of the Star Sapphire Corps.
