Once a surface child who was kidnapped by aliens and mutated, she was rescued by Kordax, then rescued by the US Navy. One of the marines gave her a nickname, ‘Dolphin’. Dolphin felt that she couldn’t survive away from the water, so return back to the sea. Soon, Dolphin became an ally of Aquaman and had a romance relationship with Tempest.
