Unlike in the prime universe, Kevin is Ben’s childhood best friend from the start and tags along on the road trip. Unlike his friends, Kevin’s family situation is a bit more dysfunctional as his mother remarried after the mysterious disappearance of Devin Levin to another man named Harvey Hackett, whom Kevin struggles to connect with to the point where he sees the Tennysons as a second family to him. Once Ben discovers the Omnitrix; however, Kevin secretly starts harboring jealous feelings towards Ben for getting all the incredible powers while he’s stuck on the sidelines.
