Newly recruited soldiers are stationed at Camp Swampy. The ill tempered and boisterous Sgt. Orval Snorkel was assigned to train the recruits. But one of the recruits, a young man with the nickname Beetle Bailey was most time gold bricking. Beetle didn't have any gumption or ambitions in the military.
