A remake of classic French film by Jean Cocteau, which in turn was based on the classic "Tale as Old as Time" by Madame Leprince de Beaumont. The story revolves around an extraordinarily beautiful young girl who unselfishly sacrifices her freedom to save her doting father's life, and is rewarded with the luxurious life of a princess.
