Beaches (2025 Remake)

Did you ever know that you’re my hero?

The story is a beloved melodrama that chronicles the lifelong, complex friendship between two women from drastically different backgrounds: Cecilia "C.C." Bloom and Hillary Whitney Essex. In this version, their bond begins unexpectedly in the 1990’s during a chance meeting as children on the Atlantic City boardwalk. C.C. is a brash, ambitious, and talented child performer from a working-class family, while Hillary is a reserved, sophisticated, and privileged girl from San Francisco. Despite their differences, they form an instant connection. The film follows them through decades as their lives diverge and intersect, marked by C.C.'s pursuit of a career as a successful, but often volatile, singer and actress, and Hillary's journey through law school, marriage, and motherhood. Their friendship is a tumultuous mix of deep love, fierce loyalty, professional jealousy, and painful resentment, highlighting the challenges of maintaining intimacy and support across vastly different life paths and personalities. But then, just as things make a turn for the good, tragedy strikes!
