Fan Casting Thomas Wayne in Darren Aronofsky's Batman: Year One

Bruce's father, a wealthy Gotham philanthropist murdered in an alley when Bruce is eight. He fights the mugger, throws himself at him to protect his wife, and dies reaching for his son. His final words: "Your inheritance. Use it wisely, son" is brought with aristocratic dignity and physical courage to a role with no dialogue except that whispered line. He is the ghost that haunts Bruce.
