Fan Casting Merkel in Darren Aronofsky's Batman: Year One

Gordon's young, earnest assistant, a police officer who jumps up when Gordon enters the room. He watches Batman security footage with Gordon ("Jesus. The guy is brutal") and offers to call it a night. Respectful, slightly nervous, and completely loyal—the kind of junior cop who will follow Gordon anywhere. He is the audience's surrogate: wide-eyed at the horror of Gotham.
