Batman The Brave and The Bold is a 2011 superhero film directed by Matt Reeves, who co-wrote the screenplay with his David S Goyer. Based on the DC Comics superhero Batman, it is the sequel to The Batman (2008) and Superman & Batman World's Finest (2010), and the eighth film in the DC Cinematic Universe (DCU). The plot follows the vigilante Batman, his sidekicks Robin and Batgirl, police Commissioner James Gordon, and newly elected district attorney Ellen Yin, who form an alliance to dismantle organized crime in Gotham City. Their efforts are derailed by the Ra's Al Ghul, an anarchistic mastermind who seeks to test how far Batman will go to save the city from chaos. The cast includes Ben Affleck, Asher Angel, Sophie Turner, Jeremy Irons, Ben McKenzie, Lucy Liu, Morgan Freeman, Colin Farrell, David Tennant, Eva Green, Jessica Chastian, Margot Robbie, Marion Cotillard and Liam Neeson.
