After Jason Todd becomes the second Robin, Batman runs back into Dick Grayson, who is now the vigilante known as Nightwing, and Barbra Gordon, the daughter of Commissioner Gordon, is now Batgirl. Together, the four heroes team up to stop an insane criminal known as the Joker, who detests everything Batman stands for, and Professor Hugo Strange has figured out that Bruce Wayne is indeed The Batman.
