After witnessing the murder of his parents as a child, Bruce Wayne dedicates his life to ensuring that no one else suffers the same fate. Returning to Gotham City after years of training around the world, he transforms himself into Batman, a mysterious vigilante who strikes fear into the criminals controlling the city's streets. But as Batman's presence begins to change Gotham, the city changes in return.
