A mass riot happen at Arkham Asylum, so Batman and Robin go there. However, it's all a trap set by a powerful new enemy : Bane. The goal of the giant of Santa Prisca : break the dark knight ! He lets the patients of the gigantic old asylum wreak havoc, notably the Joker, back in town, and who seems to have a dirty little game for the new Robin !
