The premise was pretty much the same, with HeckTech rivaling Wayne Industries. There were some big tonal and dialogue differences. Undoubtedly this would also require a very different visual design take for the movie, such as the H.R. Giger Batmobile. Rene Russo was actually cast as Dr. Meridian while Michael Keaton's negotiations were ongoing, as well as Tommy Lee Jones.
