Within a neo futuristic world where Gotham is now a mixture of gothic and contemporary architecture that looks like a mixture of Blade Runner, A Clockwork Orange and a great deal of modern problems from new criminals using modern technology to create havoc and chaos on the streets, Bruce is unable to fight as he once did and finds himself a young protege named Terry McGinnis, a teen on the way to becoming a permanent resident of the local jail with a record of crimes and other offenses. After his father is killed in a shooting similar to his own family, the two work together to bring back the symbol of hope while the new head of the police department, a disgruntled and angry Barbara Gordon is against any i Logan tea after having fallen prey to a terrible attack that tore the bat family apart forever.
