Dr. Leslie Thompkins, M.D. is a pediatrician and an old family friend of the Wayne family before the deaths of Thomas and Martha Wayne. After the deaths of Thomas and Martha, she took it upon herself to help Alfred Pennyworth in raising a young Bruce Wayne, serving as a godparent and parental figure to the future Dark Knight. Thompkins strongly disapproves of Bruce's choice of being a costumed crimefighting vigilante and blames herself for failing him as a positive role model. Thompkins is the chief medical officer of the Thomas Wayne Memorial Clinic in Park Row of Gotham City that is funded through the Wayne Foundation.
