Description of Velvet Tiger (Lani Gilbert - Main Villain):

Lani Gilbert is a relative newcomer to Gotham business, but has achieved wealth by co-owning, with her brother Ward, Gilcom, a multinational hardware manufacturer. During this time, she was seduced by the ease of using computers to access other people's systems and secrets, where she began using this information to build a criminal career as a blackmailer. Her brother even tried to stop it, at least before he was executed on her own orders. Throughout the film, Lani and Batgirl create a great rivalry, especially when the villain decides to join forces with other criminals who have an old dislike for the heroine.
