Meanwhile, in space, Thor and a few other Avengers are defeated by the Phoenix. A full team of Avengers and X-Men arrive on the Moon. As both sides begin to fight, a nearly-unconscious Thor falls to the lunar surface and points out that the Phoenix is coming. In New Asgard, Namor launches an attack, but he is soon defeated by the forces of Thor and The Avengers. Thor shatters Emma Frost's diamond form, launching the shards into space.
