In the cyberpunk corner of Battleworld known as The Technarchy (inspired by the famous Tom DeFalco run of Machine Man), the domed land of Oasis is embroiled in eternal civil war and plagued with a never ending assault from the Phalynx (a mysterious horder led by Ultron Prime, a AI formed from the conciousness of Tony Stark and Ultron). It is here where Riri Williams is seen as a female version of the Tinkerer
