Centuries ago, humanity was slain to near extinction by monstrous humanoid creatures called titans, forcing humans to hide in fear behind massive concentric walls. What makes these giants terrifying is that their taste for human flesh is not born out of hunger but out of what appears to be pleasure. To ensure their safety, the remnants of humanity train to live within defensive barriers, reaching a hundred years without a single encounter of titans. However, this fragile calm is soon broken when a colossal titan manages to break through a supposedly impregnable outer wall, reigniting the struggle to fight the man-eating abominations. After witnessing a terrible personal loss at the hands of invading creatures, Eren Yeager dedicates his life to eradication by enlisting in the Survey Corps, an elite military unit that fights the merciless humanoids for the protection of the walls. Based on Hajime Isayama's award-winning manga, Shingeki no Kyojin follows Eren, along with his adoptive sister Mikasa Ackerman and childhood friend Armin Arlert, as they join the brutal war against the titans and race to find a way to defeat them first. from the last walls are broken.
