Synopsis

A love story set in July 1943 when Allied forces land in italy. Arhtur loves Flory, the daughter of a restaurant owner, but her hand in marriage has been promised to a Mafia boss. Arthur leaves Sicily for America in search of fortune, joins the US Army, and ends up returning to italy with the army. In the background, a clever narrative of how relations between the Allies and the Mafia during World War II shaped the fate of italy for years to come
