The main series set in the same universe as the video games but features an original story that expands the series' mythology who is abducted by Abstergo because of his or her heritage who swore to protect the Eden, an artifact believed to contain the key to humanity's free will and must accept his or her Assassin heritage when he or she stops Abstergo from finding them, the Templar Order of the modern-day, from finding the eden and using any of those to enslave humanity. The films featured historical fictions, science fictions, and fictional characters intertwined with real-world historical events and historical figures.depicts a fictional millennia-old struggle between the Brotherhood of Assassins, who fight for peace and free will, and the Order of the Knights Templar, who desire peace through order and control. The series retains the record for the most live-action film adaptations of a video game franchise by Ubisoft.
