Separated from them upon arrival, she is chosen to join the camp orchestra, a real historical ensemble that played music as prisoners were led to work—or their deaths. Within this grim reality, Miriam meets Jakob Weiss, a defiant pianist who composes secret songs of rebellion. Though music is a tool of oppression, it also becomes their way of resisting. Through stolen notes and whispered melodies, they pass coded messages to the underground resistance. As the war nears its end, rumors of the gas chambers reach them. With one final act of defiance, they plan to smuggle explosives into the crematorium, aiming to spark a revolt—one last desperate song before the silence.
