This soft reboot takes into account the alternate ending of "Army Of Darkness". Ash Williams wakes up in a post-apocalyptic future, in which all kinds of demons rule the world, and the chosen one must gather a group of survivors to be able to return to his time. To do this he must find the necronomicon again, now the possession of the king of demons. At the end of the film, his few allies are killed or possessed in an attempt to return to the past and Ash is left completely defeated, wandering in this new world.
