Pamela Isaac is the top of the botany department at the Gotham College of Science and Engineering. A genius-level IQ and immense creativity, she is chosen by her teacher, Dr. Kyle, to come intern at her botanical experimentation and research facility. But as Pamela craves more to do, her and Dr. Kyle become locked in a battle of intellect, ultimately leading to creation of Poison Ivy. read more

accaffrey Pamela eventually finds out that her boyfriend, Alec, who also interns, is being injected with chemicals by Dr. Kyle. Their content for each other finally reaches a limit when Isaac confronts Kyle. Breaking down in tears, Kyle comes up with the serum behind her and injects it in her neck, but before she finishes what's in the syringe, Alec shows up and shoots her dead. Before Pamela loses consciousness, she sees that Alec has mold growing on him. He tells her he did it to save her, then flees the scene. Later, she awakes to find herself green and able to control plants. Her mental state is also altered, going through frequent mood swings. She discovered that Alec "died" in a car crash, and she angrily goes on a killing spree before the Gotham P.D. shuts it down and she is imprisoned at Arkham Asylum. In a post-credits scene, we see someone deliver the news of her mother's death to a difficult-to-read Selina Kyle.
