Description of Colonel Walter E. Kurtz:

A highly decorated U.S. Army Special Forces officer with the 5th Special Forces Group who goes rogue. He runs his own military unit of Montegard soldiers and US military defectors based in Cambodia and is feared as much by the U.S. military as by the North Vietnamese and Viet Cong. He is wanted for murder by the US military for ordering the execution of four South Vietnamese intelligence officers whom he suspected were double agents. He has a wife, Janet, and an unnamed son.
