Brilliant scientist, Henry "Hank" Pym, has been studying a brand new group of subatomic particles which he calls Pym Particles. During a science presentation, he meets a woman named Janet Van Dyne, a woman who actually makes him feel some joy. Another scientist at the presentation, Elihas Starr, feels immense jealously at Pym's discovery of a new particle, so he decides to make a villain to steal all the vials, Whirlwind.
