Synopsis

When a teenager moves in with his freewheeling relatives in their Southern California beach town after his mother dies of an overdose, he's quickly pulled into the family's life of excess and soon discovers that it's all being funded by criminal activities.

Description of Deran Cody:

In season 3, Deran has to deal with the return of his father Billy and his struggle over whether or not to form a relationship with the man. Their reunion ends when Billy robs Deran's bar safe and takes off again. Smurf later tells Deran the truth about the one time that his father took interest in him as a child.
