In the 1960s, during the whole African-American civil rights movement, free love, counter-culture and anti-war demonstrations era, William Shockley, renewed Nobel Prize for Physics laureate, inventor of the transistor and pioneer of the computer era shocked Americans by telling one of his unfounded theories: black Americans were inferior than white Americans, thus they needed to be "voluntarily sterilized". Derided and censored, Shockley is contacted by a young genetic expert, Syl Jones, who also happens to be black, and who asks him an interview for the Playboy magazine, thus exposing the doctor for who he is and proving to all Americans the unscientificness of his theories.
