A 44-year-old woman. Mel is just as endlessly kind and thoughtful as Soos (without the careless part) and does all that she can to be the best mother for her kids. Sometimes slips up with Ramona's name and pronouns (as does Soos), but always tries to make it up to her. Upset with Lee for trying to distance himself from them and the town, but loves having him back.
