In a world co-populated by humans and cartoon characters, Alvin, Simon and Theodore meet in elementary school and become best friends. They later emigrate to Hollywood and after appearing as extras on commercials and live-action television series, star in the successful television series Alvinnn!!! and the Chipmunks in the early 2010s. When Simon gets his own Superman-inspired show, Super Simon, the two go their separate ways and both series are continues.
