Thneedville, 1979: in the town created by tycoon Once-ler there is no a single tree anymore, and the businessman goes bankrupt. A nerdy 17-year-old billposter named Aloysius starts to work d ay and night to find the way to make air artificially, with the help of his friend Cy. But when they succeed, Aloysius takes all the credit and, later becoming a tycoon, makes Cy his humble delivery guy. Aloysius is now a greed, narcissistic middle-aged man, but is this what he really wants to be?
