Eurydices was a young girl from high macedonian nobility, niece of Attalus, one of the companions of king Philip. Philip felt in love with her, and probably with Attalus pression, he married her. She would eventually gave a son to Philip. By many this child was seen as the legitimate heir instead of Alexander, because Olympias was not Macedonian. After Philip's assassination, Olympias sent assassins to kill Eurydices and his newborn son.
