Description of Mrs. Young:
Carol is a very controlling mother. She is traditional and prefers to rely on logic than what feels right. This is shown in her wanting Tessa to be with Noah for security rather than Hardin for love. She has an unhealthy need to always look socially acceptable and presentable. She can be overly critical to Tessa when she does something wrong and neglects her emotional needs.
