Loren grew up with a single father and became friends with Lily Calloway early on in his childhood. He would spend vacations and holidays with the Calloway family. He started drinking alcohol when he was about ten years old and became an alcoholic by about fifteen. In order to hide his addiction from his family, he started a fake relationship with his best friend, Lily in his senior year of high school.
