Kaa is a fictional character who first appeared in The Jungle Book. In Kipling's and many of the screen adaptations, Kaa is an ally of protagonist Mowgli, acting as a friend alongside Bagheera and Baloo. However, Disney's screen adaptations often portray them as a secondary antagonist who attempts to eat Mowgli.
