Fan Casting Elizabeth Tudor in A Tudor Tale: Henry VIII

Elizabeth I was Queen of England and Ireland from 17 November 1558 until her death in 1603. She was the only surviving daughter of Henry VIII by Anne Boleyn, his second wife, who was executed when Elizabeth was two years old. Anne's marriage to Henry was annulled, and Elizabeth declared illegitimate. Elizabeth was tall and striking, with pale skin and light red-gold hair. She exaggerated these features, particularly as she aged, and other women sought to emulate them. Elizabeth was the last monarch of the House of Tudor and is sometimes referred to as the "Virgin Queen".
