Synopsis

A Song of Ice and Fire is a series of epic fantasy novels by the American novelist and screenwriter George R. R. Martin. He began the first volume of the series, A Game of Thrones, in 1991, and it was published in 1996. Martin, who initially envisioned the series as a trilogy, has published five out of a planned seven volumes. The fifth and most recent volume of the series published in 2011, A Dance with Dragons, took Martin six years to write. He is currently writing the sixth novel, The Winds of Winter.

Catelyn Tully Stark is described as beautiful, with auburn hair, blue eyes, and long fingers, and dressed simply in the grey color of House Stark or the blue and red of her father’s House Tully. She is proud, strong, kind, and generous, has a strong grasp of politics, and is often governed by the desire to protect her children. Catelyn is usually in accord with her husband Eddard Stark, but resents his admission of his illegitimate son Jon Snow into their household.

  • user_4851 People really need to look at ages of the source material, Catelyn was only 35 when she died so I don't understand why people continue to cast older actresses for her.
