When Emily was friends with Molly and Daniel in the past, she developed an emotional dependence on them, being the only friends she had in the world, when she moved that dependence reached the limit when she murdered her parents with the objective of returning to Riverhill and ending up confined in a psychiatric hospital when she found out that they were not her real parents, over time that dependence disappeared, but her attachment to Molly and Daniel never went away completely, 5 months before she escaped when she learned of the events of the first story, and upon discovering what Molly did she decided to follow her example and become the new Glassface taking Molly as a symbol
