Synopsis

Against the backdrop of Ancient Greece, four lovers find themselves caught up in an incredible series of fluctuating attractions and disastrous misunderstandings as the fairy King Oberon wages war on his independent wife Titania. Meanwhile, six simple-minded workingmen set their hearts on performing a devastating tragedy for the Duke and Duchess' wedding; however, it is not long before they, too, become pawns in the hilarious antics of the fairies.

Description of Snug the Joiner:

Poor Snug. He has a terribly difficult time memorizing his lines for the play. Thankfully, Peter Quince assigns him the part of the vicious lion, so that he only has to roar. However, to ensure that the audience is not TOO afraid, he makes sure to announce that he is really a man, only pretending to be a lion.
