He is affiliated with DrakkenFest, the largest pop culture convention in the world, and dispatched by an unknown member of that con to scout Peter Ellis as a possible investigator on a sensitive, personal case. In his convention role, he is locally-proclaimed "King of the Geeks" doing local car commercials in cosplay and playing up the fantasy aspects for TV. He considers himself "The Herald of Great Grandmaster Stern"
