The Doctor initially traveled with his predecessor's final traveling companion, Katie Tollinger and Henrick. However Katie was soon killed in the the Interstitial Mass Transit System. The Doctor and Henrick were joined in their travels by Professor Bernice Summerfield, an archaeologist from the 26th Century.
